Anthony "Tony" Burnett, 51, of Grinnell, died Thursday, October 24, 2024, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, at Cox-Smith Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family, made out to Aaron Burnett, and sent in care of Cox-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, PO Box 163, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.

Tony was born on November 10, 1972, to Kenneth and Sherry (Long) Burnett in Richmond, Missouri. He enjoyed working on cars, shooting guns and racing gas powered RC cars. His children and grandchildren brought joy and happiness into his world. Tony loved them dearly.

He is survived by his sons, Aaron (Olivia) Burnett, Payton Burnett, Gavin Burnett, Jacob Burnett, Cale Burnett, all of Grinnell; daughter, Ashley Campbell of Grinnell; grandchildren, Fayeanna Guthrie, Theodore Burnett, Abraham Burnett and Brayden Martin; his siblings, Mike (Missy) Burnett of Lawson, Missouri, Brandi (Doug) Courville of Louisiana and Linda May Burnett of Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Burnett; and cousin, Gene Long.
