Carol Jean Pearce (Leist), 86, of Grinnell died on April 22, 2024, at Windsor Manor in Grinnell. Carol was a long-term resident of the Grinnell community that she loved. In return, she was loved by many of its citizens, especially the children.

She has requested no formal services but has asked that you each celebrate your

own journey of life and your loved ones in your individual, celebratory way as you

remember her passing.

She was a respected business manager of Carasal Fabrics for many years, paving

the way for other young business entrepreneurs. Her flawless seamstress talent

and mentorship to others were recognized throughout the state of Iowa.

Carol was born February 26, 1938, in Humboldt County to Joseph and Elverna

Leist (Ramsvig). Carol is survived by her three children, Mona Pearce, Richard J.

(Rick) Pearce, and Dori Pearce, and grandchildren Matthew Pearce and Nicholas

Pearce. In addition, she is survived by her siblings Janice McInroy, Linda Evenson,

and Doug Leist.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Cary. She was the

former spouse of the late Richard Allen Pearce of Grinnell.
