Craig C. Zimmerman, 72, of Montour, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at his home with his family by his side. As per his wishes he was cremated. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 12 noon to 5:00 pm at the Montour Community Center. Memorials for Craig can be made out in his name and sent in care of Cox-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, PO Box 163, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.

Craig was born August 21, 1949, the son of Frank and Beverly (Schafer) Zimmerman in Oneida, New York. The family moved to the Iowa and made their home in the Tama-Toledo area. Craig attended and graduated from South Tama High School. On June 16, 1972, he married Pamela Wayman in the Toledo Methodist Church.

He enjoyed woodburning, watching movies and listening to music. Craig loved his family and always supported them.

Craig will be remembered by his wife, Pamela, of Montour; his children, Tammy Nelson of Omaha, Nebraska, Charlie Zimmerman and Georgia Zimmerman both of Basalt, Colorado; grandchildren, Paige, Tia, Jordan, Payton, Bryton, Kyle, Auston, Cloe, Myah and Isabella; four great grandchildren and one brother, Kim Zimmerman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kent Zimmerman.
