Doris Marie (Boyd) Shoup, age 76, died March 3, 2023 at Care Initiatives Montezuma Specialty/ Care Center under Hospice Care in Montezuma, Iowa.  A Graveside Service will be held 1:30 pm, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Pleasant Township Cemetery, Ewart, Iowa. A reception will follow in the Reception Hall of Cox-Smith Funeral Home. Doris had been a resident there since September, 2022.  Doris had been a resident of Grinnell, Iowa for over 50 years.

Doris was born in Newton, Iowa on October 8, 1946 to Warren and Violet (Sanders) Boyd.  Doris was a graduate of Grinnell-Newburg High School with the Class of 1966.  Doris worked at various Nursing Homes.

Doris was married to Robert Shoup, July 27, 1991 and made their home in Grinnell.

Doris is survived by her husband, Robert Shoup, 2 brothers, Robert (Eunice) Boyd of Gilman, Iowa, Michael Boyd of Lincoln, Nebraska, 3 children, Becky Oyler, Jeff (Kelli) Cleaveland and Lawrence Cleaveland, 5 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Aunts, many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Doris was preceded in death by her father, Warren Boyd, mother, Violet (Boyd) House and step-father, D. Paul House; and sister-in-law, Peggy Boyd.
