Eric Davis, 72, of Brooklyn, died Friday, July 24, 2026, at Taylor House in Des Moines, under the care of UnityPoint Hospice.

Burial will take place at a later date in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to his family.

Eric was born on April 11, 1954, to Charlie and Doris (Wolfe) Davis Sr. in Malcom, Iowa. He attended BGM schools. Eric liked to hunt, fish and work on cars. He enjoyed cooking. Eric had a soft spot when it came to animals, especially his cats. He also had a great passion for reading.

Eric is survived by his siblings, Peggy Kent of Brooklyn, Dennis (Cindy) Davis of Grinnell, Terry Davis of Marion, Kevin (Rochelle) Davis of Des Moines and Tony Davis of New Sharon; as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Judith Baker, Charlie Jr., Dale Davis, Kim Davis and Brad Davis.
