Jeromy Dean Van Baale, 55, of Grinnell, died Sunday, June 15, 2025, at UnityPoint Health-Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Jeromy Dean VanBaale, 55, of Grinnell, died Sunday, June 15, 2025, at UnityPoint Health-Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

Jeromy was born on February 14, 1970, in Newton, Iowa to Kurt VanBaale and Carol Jackson. He graduated from Newton High School. On March 19, 2005, he married Tammy Couper in Grinnell, Iowa.

He was a huge fan of Star Trek and MASH. Jeromy was always ready for an in-depth conversation and had a knack at getting into trouble. He could fix almost anything and was a history buff.

Jeromy is survived by his wife, Tammy of Grinnell; children, Ali (Dustin) Follmuth of Okinawa, Japan, Jeromy Mack VanBaale of Omaha, Nebraska, Katie (Dylan) Savage and Madeliene Collum all of Grinnell; grandchildren, Peyton and Parker Miller, Zander Wright, Jeromy VanBaale Jr and Michael Savage; father and step-mother, Kurt and Myra VanBaale of Newton; mother, Carol Jackson of Newton; sister, Machelle (Jan) Vos of Newton; step-brothers, Rick Jansen, Travis Jansen and Chad Jansen.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his uncle, Tom Jackson.
