Jill Marie McCann, 45, of Malcom, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Cox-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to PALS or the Ronald McDonald House, sent in care of Cox-Smith Funeral and Cremation, PO Box 163, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.

Jill was born June 10, 1979, to Jerry Ray and Mary Janette (Lane) Augustine in Grinnell. She graduated from Grinnell High School in 1997. Jill then went to Marshalltown Community College to become an LPN. Throughout the years, she worked in various nursing positions. Most recently, she worked for Center Associates in Marshalltown and Newton Village.

There are so many things that Jill enjoyed. She had a soft heart for animals. She enjoyed the comfort of her dogs, Lilly, Izzy and Dexter. Jill could always make you laugh, although she could have a stubborn streak at times. She liked reading mysteries, cooking and watching the "Golden Girls". Jill was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and an Iowa Hawkeye fan. There was always time for Fantasy Football, Yahtzee and Uno. There were many evenings where Jason and Jill would sit on the deck and watch the hummingbirds and sunsets. Her favorite color was purple. She loved her family and will be loved and missed by everyone.

Jill is survived by her son, Reese Belcher, of Madrid; mother and step-father, Jan and Dr. JB Paulson of Grinnell; father, Jerry Augustine of Boone; brother, Travis (Jessica) Augustine of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; step-sisters, Joy (Kirk) Gibson of Carlisle, Jamie (Craig) Folkers of Blair, Nebraska and Katie (Kurtis) Harlan of Klamath Falls, Oregon; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her significant other, Jason Tuttle of Malcom; and his children, Nicole and Corbin.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bruce and Mary Lane; paternal grandparents, HB and Ione Augustine; and step-mother, Sheila Augustine.
