Kaitlin was known to her family and friends as the extrovert of the group. Kaitlin was a fun loving, outspoken, devoted, maternal, nurturing free spirit. Kaitlin always made everyone feel welcome. She brought everyone together whether they be family or friends. Kaitlin had a flare for the dramatic, always keeping everyone on their toes. Kaitlin's loud contagious laugh could brighten the darkest of days. Kaitlin was vibrant and had a special light about her that drew everyone in. Kaitlin loved the outdoors, whether it be fishing, camping or hanging out at Rock Creek park. Kaitlin was absolutely obsessed with horses; as her dream was to one day own a horse herself.
Kaitlin was a lot of things to a lot of people and took on a lot of roles. Kaitlin was a dependable daughter, a loving granddaughter, a proud aunt, a great cousin, a fierce sister and the list goes on. However most importantly, Kaitlin was a mother. Not only was Kaitlin a mother she was an exceptional mother to two incredible children, Cameron and Bentley. Not a day went by that Kaitlin did not tell her boys just how much she loved them.
On December 19, 2017, Kaitlin married the love of her life Justin Watkins. Together they proudly raised Cameron and Bentley. Kaitlin fiercely loved her family like no other.
Kaitlin will forever be missed by those who were lucky enough to know her. Kaitlin will always be lovingly remembered by her husband, Justin Watkins and their children, Cameron and Bentley; her mother and father, Pam and Barry Bennington; siblings, Levi (Shannon) Bennington, Lucas (Brittney) Bennington and Alexa Yoakum; maternal grandmother, LaVerda Fitzgerald; mother-in-law, Doris Watkins and father-in-law, Lonnie (Jennifer) Watkins. Also surviving are her aunts and uncles, Annette (Rod) Montgomery, Victor Bennington, Duane (Vicki) Hannah, Tom (Denise) Peck, John Avitt; and several cousins and dear friends.
Kaitlin was lovingly greeted in Heaven by those who preceded her in death, including her beloved daughter Maci Jean, maternal grandfather, Thomas Fitzgerald; paternal grandparents, Victor and Joann Bennington; aunt Cindi Avitt.
Kaitlin will continue to shine her light down on us, to see it, all you need to do is look to the sky. As the sun sets and purple rays spread across the sky, we will know that Kaitlin-her light, her spirit and her love is shining down upon us all. Her light will continue to shine and guide us. Forever in our hearts, Kaitlin will remain a beacon of love and light.
