Katharine Stewart, 87, of Grinnell, died on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Grinnell. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Marvin Stewart and sent in care of Cox-Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 163, Grinnell, Iowa 50112 .

She was born on September 18, 1935, in Rochester, New York, to Edward and Anna (Spies) Stebbins, Jr. On October 25, 1957, she was united in marriage to Marvin Stewart in Grinnell. The couple made their home in Grinnell. Kathy was a homemaker and took great pride in raising their sons. Before her health issues, she attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Grinnell.

Kathy is survived by her her husband; three sons, Keith (Bonnie), Kurt and Mark Stewart, all of Grinnell.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward; and her mother and step-father, Anna and Ted Shoenhair.
