Leland "Lee" Link, 46, of Grinnell died peacefully Sunday, November 21, 2021, under hospice care at his home.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am, Friday, November 26, 2021, at Cox-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 135 1 ^st Avenue, in Grinnell. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00am on Friday before the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Township Cemetery in Ewart, Iowa. Memorials in Lee's name may be sent in care of Cox-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, PO Box 163, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.

Leland was born on November 14, 1975, to Leland and Shawn (Bowen) Link Sr. in Cordell, Oklahoma. He attended schools in Villisca, Iowa before coming to Grinnell and getting his GED from Iowa Valley. Lee went on to get his Associates Degree. He was a handyman and was a licensed contractor working on several small projects.

He was at awe with sunsets and the moon, always taking pictures of them, was always tinkering with RC cars; fixing them up to ramp and crash them and fix up again. Lee was a rockhound and coin collector and enjoyed puzzles. He enjoyed fishing. Lee was a very independent person and was passionate about his beliefs. Last, but not least, he was self-described as ornery. His family would agree!

Lee will be remembered by his daughters, Paige Link and Kori Link of Montezuma; son, Devin Link of Grinnell; his mother; his siblings, Chris (Candi) Link of Tama, Misty (Nate) Moline of Grinnell, Jennifer (Jim) Bachmann of Lebanon, Illinois, Shari Hooper of Paton, Iowa, John Burg of Amarillo, Texas and Pam Carbaugh of Red Oak, Iowa; nieces, Aurora and Jordan; nephews, Cody, Colton, Logan, Colin, Ethan, Trevior and Auggie; his great niece, Amelia; as well as many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Link Sr and one brother, Don Burg, Jr.
