Linda R. Hunter, 75, of Grinnell died Monday, May 10, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with her family by her side.

Linda Rae Hunter was born on November 29, 1945, in Grinnell to Raymond and Darlene (Vaughn) Triplett.  She was raised and educated in Grinnell, graduating from Grinnell High School.  Linda met her husband at a barbeque, little did she know that they would be married.  For Norman she was "the one".  On November 14, 1964, she was united in marriage to Norman Hunter in Colfax, Iowa.

She was a "home body", enjoyed crocheting and word find puzzles.  She loved camping at Diamond Lake with the grandchildren.  Linda was a homemaker and loved spending time with their grandchildren.

Linda will be remembered by her husband, Norman, of 56 years; their children, Susan Hunter, Michael (Lisa) Hunter, Melissa (Antonio) Mendoza, all of Grinnell and Heather (Brian) Swarts of Searsboro, Iowa; 8 grandchildren, Nicholas, Cory, Katelyn, Holly, Keaton, Mallory, Miranda and Marcos; her sisters, Diane (Ron) Pickens of Grinnell and Teresa Crane of Williamsburg, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Kimberly Sue, in 1966; her brother, Dennis Triplett; and a great granddaughter, Eloise Anderson.
