Patrick Riley, 60, of Grinnell, died at North Mahaska Specialty Care in Oskaloosa, with his family by his side.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma. Memorials can be directed to the Patrick Riley Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Cox-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, PO Box 163, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.

Pat was born on March 12, 1961, the son of Max and Agnes (Tish) Riley, in Sigourney, Iowa. He attended Delta Elementary and Sigourney Jr. and Sr. High School. Pat was a over the road truck driver and later he was a combine operator. He enjoyed farming, watching tv, mushroom hunting and fishing. He also liked big rig trucks, rock music, muscle cars and watching Millennial Farmers on YouTube, often buying their shirts. Pat loved spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren.

He will be missed by his children, Jesse Riley of Eddyville, Christopher Riley of Pella and Patricia Thompson of Helena, Georgia; grandchildren, Courteney, Cayel, Jayce, Jaylea, Josslyn, Bryan, Blake and Briana; his sisters and brother-in-law, Teresa Ehret of Pella and Diana (Randy) Sherman of Oskaloosa; several nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Mark Riley and brother-in-law, Marvin Ehret.
