Ronda Wilson, 76, of Grinnell, died on Monday, July 31, 2023, at MercyOne in Newton, Iowa.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, August 4, 2023, at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.  A luncheon will follow in the Reception Hall at Cox-Smith Funeral Home, 135 1st Avenue W, Grinnell.

Ronda was born on December 21, 1946, in Grinnell, Iowa to George and Maxine (Deppe) Wilson. She attended Grinnell schools and graduated with the class of 1964.

After high school, she worked at Grinnell Reinsurance and Grinnell College. Later, she worked at the Longhorn Restaurant and The Bar in Grinnell. She then was employed at Jeld-Wen before retiring.

In retirement, she was a housekeeper and companion to several people in our community. She provided friendship to many people and to their pets.

Ronda enjoyed many things. She cross-stitched beautiful pieces. She became an avid reader and always had a book with her. Ronda was the family photographer. She looked forward to football season and was a devoted Bronco, Hawkeye and Cyclone fan! Ronda loved animals, and could be counted on to dog sit or dog walk. She was the "luckiest" card player!

She is survived by her sons, Curtis (Lori) Wilson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Christopher (Eva) of Jasper, Arkansas. She adored her grandchildren, Kevin, Aaron, Aspen, Adam, and Emily. Her brother, Dennis Wilson of Rock Creek Lake, her sister, Jody (Bruce) Potter of Grinnell, and sister-in-law, Teri Wilson of Grinnell.

Ronda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Mike, and sister-in-law, Becky Wilson.

She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends.
