Sue Revell, 74, of Grinnell died Friday, December 2, 2022, at Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown. A funeral service will be held 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Cox-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, December 5, 2022, at Cox-Smith Funeral Home, 135 1 ^st Avenue W., in Grinnell. A memorial fund will be established.

Sue was born on September 18, 1948, in Grinnell, the daughter of Lyle and Ruth Thompson Goreham. She attended Grinnell High School. On June 3, 1966, Sue was united in marriage to Richard Elliott. They later divorced. For over 30 years, Sue worked at Maytag in various departments. She retired in 2007.

She loved dancing and the Red Hat Ladies. Sue always found time for golfing and traveling to warm places. She would not like the weather we are having right now! She was an avid reader and spent endless hours tending to her flower garden. Sue held her grandchildren and great grandchildren close to her heart. They meant everything to her.

Sue will be remembered by her children, Shelli (Duayne Herb) Elliott of Hiawatha, Kelli Elliott of Grinnell and Hollis (Carrie Harris) Elliott of Urbandale; eight grandchildren, Hollis Anderson, Kelley Dean Elliott, Katelin Shepard, Tanner Elliott, Reece Strachota, Keahna Elliott, Alexa Elliott and Natalie Elliott; seven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Goreham; sister, Sherry Argo and her long-time friend, Richard Mackerman.
