Vikki was born on September 5, 1953, the daughter of Richard and Colleen (Curtis) Cox, in Grinnell. She attended Kellogg and Newton Schools, graduating from Newton High School in 1971.
She was united in marriage to Edison Sharp Jr. on September 30, 1977, in Grinnell. After working for a short time as a CNA at Grinnell General Hospital and at Wenco Windows, Vikki was employed at Donaldson Company for 33 years, retiring in 2008. While there she was an active member of UAW Local 1201 and served as a secretary for the National Community Action Program. She was also a previous member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed supporting Junior through his local Masonic and Grand Lodge of Iowa activities.
In their younger years, Vikki and Junior enjoyed traveling the States by motorcycle, taking family vacations and spending time at Paradise Valley in northeast Iowa. However, home was always Vikki's favorite place. She enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, Big Bang Theory, NCIS and the Hallmark Channel, tole painting, watching birds, antiques and tending to her flower garden. She was an avid reader and spent countless hours cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
Vikki's greatest joy was her family. Her life centered around her grandchildren. She never missed their activities or celebrating their accomplishments and always made sure they were spoiled.
Vikki will be remembered by her husband of 45 years, Junior of Malcom; daughter, Kristy (Greg) Reedy of Malcom; grandchildren, Austin and Megan Reedy; sisters, Linda (Larry) Land of Ft. Myers, Florida and Cindy (Roger) Thompson of Brooklyn; sister-in-law, Renee Cox of Lynnville, step-daughters, Penny Beaty and Tori Rohde; her dear friend Debbie; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rick Cox.
